Ron Sherman

​I created a portrait of Ron Sherman, a 19-year-old soldier kidnapped by Hamas and still held in Gaza. The painting captures the moment his mother learned of his abduction, a poignant blend of hope and despair. Ron, who joined the army just ten months prior, was coordinating the entry of goods into Gaza when captured. His family, including his Argentinian parents who are veterinarians in Lahab, has been tirelessly advocating for his release, engaging with international groups and even reaching out to public figures like Messi for support. This artwork is a tribute to Ron's story, reflecting the complex emotions of a family caught in a relentless struggle for their son's return.
